Simple ways to turn a grey afternoon into a colourful one, no special supplies needed.
A grey afternoon and a restless child is a familiar combination. These are the ideas we come back to, all of them using what is already in the house.
Start with something small
A single plaster piece is a lower bar than a whole kit. Set it out with three colours and let them decide what it becomes.
- One piece, three colours, no plan
- A sheet of kraft paper taped to the table
- A jar of water and a cloth within reach
Let the drying time be part of it
Plaster takes its time. Paint in the morning, leave it on the windowsill, and come back after lunch to add the details.
